Twitter.com has provided a search add-on for Firefox 4+ users, which allows them to search effectively from the Awesome Bar (the ‘address bar’ ). This new Firefox add-on is available for Firefox 4+ releases, and is restartless. Hence, users don’t need to restart their browsers after installing this add-on in order to activate it.

The add-on enables users to search for #hashtags and @user_names easily. Just start typing with # or @ symbol in the address bar of the Firefox to enjoy features of this add-on. If a user starts typing with @ symbol followed by a Twitter username – he/she is redirected to the profile page of that user. This “Twitter Address Bar Search” add-on is available for Desktop and Android versions of Firefox. Install this add-on from AMO.
