Opera Software recently launched a co-branded version of its popular mobile browser, Opera Mini, in association with Vodafone India. This special edition of the mobile browser will be available to all customers of Vodafone India.

The co-branded version will offer quick access to Vodafone features through the speed dial shortcuts. This will enable users to easily access and use operator specific services. Opera Software said on this launch: "With the co-branded web browser, Vodafone Essar can offer customers a better and faster browsing experience on nearly any mobile phone capable of connecting to the Internet.".

Opera Mini is quite popular among the mobile users across the web, and according to the stats provided by Opera Software,  over 100 million users worldwide use Opera browsers (including Opera Mobile) on their handsets. One major reason behind this extreme popularity is its support for a variety of handsets across all major mobile platforms.

The above co-branded edition of Opera Mini is now available for free download across Vodafone’s network in India through Vodafone Live! service. Vodafone India customers can download Opera Mini to their handsets by sending SMS with text INTERNET to 111 (toll free). Alternatively, the regular version of Opera Mini can be downloaded from Opera Software’s website m.opera.com. List of supported handsets can be viewed here.
