Firefox for Android Also Gets Update

Along with the Firefox for desktop, Firefox for Android platform has also got update. Mozilla has released a new refreshing version of Firefox for Android with features like support for updated WebSockets API, better Copy & Paste controls etc.

Firefox for Android 7.0 has various known issues as well which include layout issues with Google+, reloading a page increases the zoom level, Sync Now button remains active even if the Sync is in progress etc.

The highlight of this updated version is better copy and paste controls. This enables usual feature of long tap on a web page to start selecting text using the familiar Android-style drag handles. There is a new “Quit” button as well to exit the browser with one tap. These two features were highly demanded by the Firefox for Android users.

Just like the IE9 Mobile, Firefox for Android runs on the same rendering engine as its desktop version. Mozilla has already announced a new featured and optimized version for Android tablets. The updated version of Firefox for Android can be installed from the Android Market.
