Google’s Chrome browser has got another landmark, as the Chrome 15 has become the most popular browser version worldwide. According to the stats calculated by StatCounter.com, Chrome 15 has replaced Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 with the global usage share of 23.6%. IE8 had 23.5% browser market share worldwide in the last week of the November 2011. This trend continues in the current month as well.

Just to add here, Chrome has been updated to the version 16 recently. Internet Explorer 9 is the latest version of IE which has just 10.44% market share.
If we consider all versions collectively, Internet Explorer continues to rule the world with around 40% usage share. Chrome and Firefox have 24.75% and 26.15% usage share respectively.
