Chrome for Android Got Its First Update, Adds More Countries

Google Chrome for Android, currently in beta phase, has got its first update. This update brings several features like Android Beam support, advanced compatibility check and many bug fixes.

With this update, Chrome for Android has extended its support for more countries including Australia, India, Russia, Japan, Canada. Now, Chrome for Android supports more than 30 countries officially but the users of other regions can download and install it from third party sources. Only limitation of Chrome for Android is its support for Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

The Android Beam support allows users to instantly share content (links, videos, apps, pictures etc.) between two devices using NFC. As, Chrome for Android has got this feature, users can now use this NFC-based protocol with Chrome as well. Bugs fixed with this update include advanced compatibility checks to ensure system prerequisites for Chrome are met before installation.
