Following the rapid release cycle introduced with Firefox 4, the nightly channel has got Firefox 8. As Mozilla is now following scheduled updates for Firefox, similar to Chrome, new releases for all channels will be available every six week. Firefox 8 Will Be Awesome!

As expected, Firefox 8 will have many new features and stability improvements. We have also posted about Telemetry on Browser Fame. Telemetry is currently available in nightly builds, and will come to stable channel with Firefox 7. With Telemetry, Firefox users can opt to submit anonymous usage stats to Mozilla. Mozilla has plans to analyse this information to identify exact reasons behind poor performance of the browser. So, we can expect that the Firefox 8 will come with several performance improvements based on the telemetry data.

To try out Firefox 8, install or update to latest nightly channel of Firefox.
