This is a shocking news for Opera lovers. Jon S. von Tetzchner, co-founder of Opera Software, is leaving the company. Tetzchner is known to be the public face of the Norway based browser company, and is quite popular among the Opera enthusiasts across the world.

Opera Software said in a press release, "He has taught me and everyone working here a lot. He believed in, and pushed out innovation after innovation that we see our competitors constantly struggling with copying, making Opera a first mover in the technological development of web browsers as we know them today. We are very proud of Jon, and of course of the company".

Tetzchner has not disclosed his future plans, but it is expected that he will start his new venture soon. He will leave the company by 30th June.
