Apart from announcing shut down of Unite and Widgets for desktop browser, Opera Software has also released updates for Opera Mini and Opera Mobile for Android and Nokia S60 platforms. Opera Mini 7.0.2 and Opera Mobile 12.0.2 for Android fix certain crash and stability issues, while the Symbian/S60 versions bring some improvements as well.
We have also seen many users reporting browser hang and crash after upgrading to Opera Mini 7. Hopefully, this update should solve these problems. Moreover, Opera Mini and Mobile on Android resolve some other crash issues as well like those related to the virtual keyboard on some HTC devices, Flash not working on few ICS devices, text selection and custom ROMs.

On the other hand, Opera Mobile 12.0.2 for S60 phones has improved support for HTML5 video and speed dial image caching. This update brings several stability improvements as well. Users can install the newer versions by visiting m.opera.com.
Opera’s mobile browsers offer service-side data compression and optimizations, which delivers faster browsing experience on a number of mobile platforms including feature phones. Opera on desktop also offers similar built-in feature, Turbo, though disabled by default. Currently, Opera has around 21.61% market share worldwide, which is closely followed by Android’s browser with 21.38%. On the other hand, it has just 2% users in USA and 3.15% in UK (data source: StatCounter).
