Google Awarded $17,000 for Chrome 13 Vulnerabilities

Google Chrome stable channel has landed to the version 13 today, and this update brings lots of exciting new features to the Chrome including Instant Pages. Google has awarded $17K to security experts for detecting vulnerabilities in this update.

While the Chromium is running the version number 15 with exciting multiple profiles feature, Chrome 13 has two noticeable features: print preview and instant page pre-rendering. The print preview in Chrome was much awaited feature, and it renders a PDF version of the web pages. Hence, users can save PDF version of web pages directly without using any special extension. To use print preview option in Chrome, just hit CTRL + P or select the “Print” option from the wrench menu.

Along with several other features and fixes, Chrome team has awarded $17,000 to security experts. “There are $17,000 of rewards in this patch, which is possibly the best haul yet”, says Google.
