MoboTap Renames Dolphin HD Browser, v8.7 Released

MoboTap has renamed its popular Android browser Dolphin Browser HD to Dolphin Browser. The company has decided to drop the redundant word “HD”, possibly to clear the confusion among the users.

Along with the new name, a newer version has been released with cleaner and easy-to-discover user interface. Dolphin Browser v 8.7 can be installed from Google Play on Android 2.0.1+ devices. Features added in this new version include easier access to Dolphin Sonar and faster synchronization across multiple devices.

The search field now offers more suggestions and has a cleaner interface optimized for tablets. Bookmark management has improved as well by offering a quicker way to delete the bookmark entries. Another useful feature added to v8.7 allows users to create a shortcut for Sonar on the home screen.

Dolphin browser is highly recommended to all the Android users looking for an alternative to the stock browser. Apart from faster performance and smoother browsing experience, it offers add-ons to enhance the capabilities of a mobile browser. Just to mention here, Firefox for Android also supports few add-ons while the Opera Mobile may support them in future.
