Internet Explorer 10 Preview for Windows 7 Released

Microsoft has released preview build of Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 users. The final stable build of IE10 for Windows 7 will be available soon, till then the users can test out the latest features through this preview build which can be downloaded from here.

According to Microsoft, the new IE10 is extremely fast, has improved hardware acceleration and Chakra JavaScript engine. The IE10 for Windows 7 offers same set of features, performance and security as the IE10 for Windows 8. It also allows users to set their Do-Not-Track preference which is turned-on by default. Users will be notified about this setting on the first-run welcome page with the guide to disable it.

With IE10, Microsoft has implemented a great support for HTML5 and related technologies like CSS3 (Transforms, Transitions, Gradient and Animations); flexbox; HTML5 Forms, input controls, and validation;  Web Sockets; HTML5 File APIs, HTML5 Drag-drop, Web Workers etc. IE10 is the best browser from Microsoft so far.

Unfortunately, the users of Windows XP and Vista platforms would not get the goodness of Internet Explorer 10 as Microsoft has no plans to upgrade the default browser of these versions. Thankfully, there are great alternatives like Firefox and Chrome for these users.
